HC Deb 21 December 1955 vol 547 cc323-4W
56. Sir F. Medlicott

asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation what consideration he is giving to the proposal made to him for the construction of a road alongside the Thames Embankment from Blackfriars to Chelsea; and if he will make a statement.

64. Lieut.-Colonel Lipton

asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation what examination he has made of the plan put forward to him to build a road adjoining the Embankment from Black-friars to Chelsea.

Mr. Molson

This is an interesting proposal, though it has plainly many difficulties. We will gladly, in conjunction with the London County Council, who are of course the promoters of schemes in London, consider it with the many other proposals for road works in London now before us.
