HC Deb 21 December 1955 vol 547 c324W
60. Mr. Russell

asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation if he is aware that the no-waiting restrictions in Jermyn Street, W.1, fail to prevent lorries from parking on both sides of the street to deliver goods, leaving room for only one line of traffic in between; that this frequently brings traffic to a complete standstill, resulting in much waste of time; and if he will now introduce one-way working.

Mr. Molson

I agree that traffic conditions in Jermyn Street are often difficult, and we are discussing with the Commissioner of Police and the Westminster City Council the possibility of an experiment with one-way working here.
