HC Deb 21 December 1955 vol 547 c323W
52. Mr. Russell

asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation if, in order to relieve the congestion of traffic leaving Hyde Park at Hyde Park Corner on weekday mornings, he will try the experiment of making the centre gate an exit gate between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Mr. Molson

No. Such a change would not improve the situation. Traffic in both directions is about even, and a queue inside the park does less harm than one across the junction outside the park.
