55. Mr. Philips Priceasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the annual loan granted to the Government of Jordan contains an allocation for the development of irrigation of some part of the Yarmuk River.
§ Mr. Dodds-ParkerYes. The funds lent to Jordan for development purposes since 1951 have included a sum of £75,000 towards the cost of a technical survey of the irrigation prospects of the Yarmuk River. The survey is in progress and the result is expected in a few months.
