asked the Minister of Labour the average number of dock workers signing on in Glasgow docks for whom no work was available during 1952, and the comparative figures for 1951.

During 1952 the average daily number of dock workers surplus to requirements at the Glasgow docks was 426. The comparative figure for 1951 was 262.
