The estimated total numbers of males in that industry in Cornwall at the middle of the years 1948, 1951 and 1952 (including a small number who were unemployed), were 1,430, 1,240 and 1,170, respectively. Comparable figures are not available for any earlier years. nor for 1949 and 1950.
