§ 87. Mr. M. Lindsayasked the Minister of Labour whether he will give permission to the baking and confectionery industry to work their female labour on Sunday 31st May in order that their products may be fresh when distributed on the eve of Coronation day.
§ Mr. WatkinsonMy right hon. and learned Friend is advised that he has no power to authorise this except by Order under Defence Regulation 59, and he is not satisfied that he would be justified in doing so.
