HC Deb 14 December 1953 vol 522 c5W
58. Mr. Simmons

asked the Minister of Pensions and National Insurance whether he will review the basis of war pension awards for loss of, or loss of use of, a limb, eye or other paired organ, in cases where serious disablement arises from non-service causes in the remaining limb or organ, and which renders the war disablement a much greater handicap than is reflected in the normal pension assessment.

Brigadier Smyth

This matter is under review but my right hon. Friend regrets that he is not in a position to make a statement.
