HC Deb 03 December 1953 vol 521 cc152-3W
55. Mr. Chetwynd

asked the Minister of Labour how many disabled persons on Tees-side are in need of industrial rehabilitation; and how many have received treatment in the last year.

Sir W. Monckton

The number must be very small. We have had only 11 applications in the last 12 months and, at the moment, there is no one in this district awaiting entry to the industrial rehabilitation units. Eight disabled persons from Tees-side have had courses in the last 12 months, and these were provided at the residential centre at Egham.
