§ Mr. Boyd-CarpenterThere are no general exemptions from taxation for salaries of the kind referred to by my hon. Friend. If, however, he means tax-free 121W allowances paid from Government funds, I would refer him to the answer I gave to my noble Friend the Member for Dorset, South (Viscount Hinchingbrooke) on 24th March, 1953.
