HC Deb 02 December 1952 vol 508 c128W
21. Mr. Burden

asked the Secretary of State for War if he is aware of the urgent need for newly constructed military hospitals; and if he will take steps to ensure that at least one more is constructed in this country or Northern Ireland in the near future.

Mr. Head

Yes. There is a programme for the construction of seven new military hospitals in the United Kingdom, but there is little possibility of building more than one during the next year or so. This I hope to do. Everything possible is being done to carry out alterations and improvements to existing hospitals.
