§ Mr. HeadThe majority of these civilian employees are needed for duties under No. 1 Railway (Home) Group, which maintains and operates the railways in some 45 War Department depots, and at Cairnryan Military Port, which handles ammunition and explosives for the three Services. The remainder are employed at the Transportation Centre, R.E. and at the Headquarters Army Emergency Reserve (Transportation and Movement Control).
