62. Mr. Robertsonasked the Minister of Food if he will give the top prices, first-hand, inland wholesale and retail, respectively, of cod, haddock, plaice and 281W best Scotch herring landed in United Kingdom, during each of the weeks commencing 22nd January, 19th February and 5th March, 1951.
§ Mr. WebbI give below the table of figures. As my right hon. Friend has requested, I have given the highest prices reported, but I must emphasise that during these weeks fish was on sale at all stages of distribution and in all parts of the country at very much lower prices, and that during the last two supplies at the lower prices were very good.
