§ 85. Mr. Nabarroasked the Minister of Labour how many medical practitioners seeking employment are at present on his 129W lists; and whether, in view of the shortage of doctors in hospitals and in general practice, he will take steps to secure appointments for these unemployed practitioners.
§ Mr. IsaacsThere are at present 74 unemployed medical practitioners on the Appointments Register. This number includes 36 foreign doctors, most of whom are Polish. In common with other registrants at Appointments Offices, these men and women are submitted for any suitable vacancies notified to my Department.
