40. Colonel J. R. H. Hutchison

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty if he will give the number and gross tonnage of licences granted for merchant shipbuilding orders divided as to tankers and non-tankers and, on account of British owners and overseas owners, in the calendar years 1945, 1946, 1947 and 1948 and for the six months ended 31st March, 1949, and the number and gross tonnage of vessels completed on the same basis as above.
