HC Deb 13 November 1947 vol 444 c103W
94. Mr. Longden

asked the Minister of Health if his attention has been called to the widespread belief, even among building operatives themselves, that house building will come to a standstill after the lapse of about a year; and if he will reassure the public by issuing a full and up-to-date statement on the matter.

Mr. Bevan

No, and I see no reason for this misapprehension. I would refer to the statement made in the House by my right hon. and learned Friend the Minister for Economic Affairs on 23rd October, and I am sending my hon. Friend a copy of the Circular which I issued to local authorities on 29th October.
