HC Deb 13 November 1947 vol 444 c103W
96. Mr. J. Morrison

asked the Minister of Health what is the total number of rural houses recommended to be built by the recent agricultural executive committee survey in England and Wales as essential for agricultural production; how this differs from the existing schemes in rural areas; and what percentage of these rural houses it is proposed to erect in the reasonably near future.

Mr. Bevan

I regret that I am unable to supply the information referred to in the first two parts of the Question as the results of the survey are not yet available. As estimates are received the extent to which demands can be met will be discussed as a matter of urgency with the local authorities concerned in the light of local resources and existing commitments.
