§ Mr. Ness EdwardsYes, provision is made through the Committee for Education of the Poles in Great Britain, which receives grants in aid carried on the Votes of my right hon. Friends the Minister of Education and the Secretary of State for Scotland. Members of the Polish Resettlement Corps are also eligible for grants under the Further Education and Training Scheme. As regards the second part of the Question, Poles may be accepted for non-manual work provided that suitable British workers are not available, and that the wages and conditions are not less favourable than those applicable to British workers, and subject to the provisions of any joint agreement which exists in the industry or profession concerned.
