asked the President of the Board of Trade why he has allowed the importation of 8,500 cases of children's glass marbles which arrived on the "Queen Mary" at Southampton on 2nd October; and what was the dollar value of this consignment.

Mr. Belcher

The quantity was 1,700 cartons and the value 15,760 dollars. These goods were imported under the Token Import arrangements of which the House is aware.
