asked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster why the general amnesty granted to members of the German armed forces born after 1st January, 1919, is not applied to pilots, navigators and aircrew of the Luftwaffe.

These men receive the same treatment as others of the same age except that, in view of their special technical knowledge which might be used against Allied interests, they are required to obtain permission before changing their address and to report to the police every three months.
