§ Mr. ShinwellThe value of mechanised coal mining equipment, including conveyor belting, imported into this country in 1945 and 1946 was £926,000 and £707,000, respectively. The value of the orders placed by my Department for delivery in 1947 is £464,000. Particulars are not available of the orders placed by private purchasers.
