HC Deb 19 February 1947 vol 433 c187W
90. Mr. Medlicott

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General whether, in view of the profit of £36,191,000 made on the working of the Post Office during 1945–46, he is proposing to make better provision for unestablished Post Office workers, either by way of increased pay or entitlement to superannuation.

Mr. Burke

The pay of most of the Post Office staff, established and unestablished, was revised less than a year ago in agreement with the staff representatives. As regards the eligibility of unestablished officers for superannuation, I have nothing to add to the reply which I gave on 5th February to the hon. Member for Battersea, South (Mrs. Ganley).
