asked the Minister of Fuel and Power what effect the recent agreement between the Anglo-American Oil Company and the U.S. oil companies will have on British oil supplies.

I assume that the hon. and gallant Member refers to the recent agreement between the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company and the U.S. oil companies. I believe that this agreement will provide an additional outlet for British oil and will not diminish the amount of Middle East oil available to Great Britain.
