§ Mr. Strachey53,700 tons of home-produced ready-to-eat cereal breakfast foods, worth about £5,799,000 at retail prices, were distributed in 1946; none of this type have been imported since 1942. 229 tons of imported pre-packed oatflakes worth about £9,600, and 29,892 tons of home produced pre-packed oatflakes worth about £1,307,800 were distributed during the year. Every encouragement is given to home manufacturers to meet this country's requirements
