Mr. Gammansasked the Minister of Supply if he is aware that, although ordinary weighing machines are not controlled, baby weighing machines can only be ordered from the manufacturer on receipt of a medical certificate; that there is a delay of from six to nine months in delivery; and whether, in view of the danger so caused to the life of an ailing baby on test feeds, he proposes to allow small stocks to be held by chemists and hospitals.
