§ 81. Mr. Shephardasked the Minister of Health how many cases have been dealt with by the Furnished Houses Rent Tribunals during 1946; and in how many of such cases was the rent reduced or increased.
§ Mr. BevanThe number of cases referred was 4,819, of which 986 were withdrawn or found incompetent and 1,588 were pending at the end of the year. Decisions were reached in the remaining 2,245, reductions in rent being made in 1,793 and increases in nine.
§ 85. Mr. Jannerasked the Minister of Health how many cases of furnished lettings, as at the last convenient date, have been referred, under the provisions 356W of the Furnished Houses (Rent Control) Act, 1946, to the various tribunals, respectively, by the local authorities and by private individuals; and in how many cases have each of them, respectively, reduced the rents payable by the tenants and by what approximate percentage.
