HC Deb 03 April 1947 vol 435 c356W
86. Mr. Sylvester

asked the Minister of Health if, when making the extra allocation of temporary houses to mining areas, he will give special consideration to such areas suffering from mining subsidence, in view of the fact that many houses are constantly being rendered unfit for habitation.

Mr. Bevan

I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given to the hon. Member for Mile End (Mr. Piratin) and my hon. Friend the Member for Neath (Mr. D. Williams) on 27th March. If the areas my hon. Friend has in mind are included in those selected by the National Coal Board as of special need they will receive special consideration.
