HC Deb 21 November 1946 vol 430 c155W
109. Mr. Touche

asked the Minister of Health what additional water supplies would be required for the proposed Crawley—Three Bridges town; from what sources the water will be supplied; and whether he consulted the water consultants to the local authorities area before he assured the Minister of Town and Country Planning that there were no insuperable difficulties in obtaining such supplies.

Mr. Bevan

The consulting engineers referred to have been asked by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Town and Country Planning, to report on these matters and precise information on the subject will not be available until their report has been considered. The advice given to my right hon. Friend has been based upon reports from my own technical advisers, who are aware of the broad needs and resources of the areas concerned.
