HC Deb 21 November 1946 vol 430 c155W
Mr. Jeger

asked the Minister of Health whether he is aware of the distress caused by the shortage of Brompton lozenges; and whether he will take steps to have supplies of necessary raw materials made available for the manufacturers who have had to suspend the making of these lozenges.

Mr. Bevan

I am aware of the shortage of medicinal cough lozenges and am in consultation with my right hon. Friends the Minister of Supply and the Minister of Food as to the possibility of the allocation of more sugar to pharmaceutical manufacturers.
