asked the First Lord of the Admiralty the numbers employed in the dockyard at Devonport during the first week of May for the years 1935, 1945 and 1946, respectively.

Mr. Dugdale:

The numbers of industrial workpeople employed in the professional departments of Devonport Dockyard during the first week of May for the years in question were respectively 9,803, 12,988 and 12,889.
