§ 130. Mr. Hopkin Morrisasked the Secretary of State for War if he will make arrangements for books written in the Welsh language to be included in the standard unit library.
§ Mr. LawsonThe unit library is a collection limited to 400 books, carefully selected and designed to provide a general library of wide appeal as a background to study under the Army Education Scheme. Orders for the books were placed some considerable time ago and almost all of them have now been issued to units entitled to receive them. As the composition of the unit library is now complete it is 301W not possible to include books written in the Welsh language. Books written in the Welsh language may, however, be made available in command libraries for issue to units at their request. Every endeavour is made to obtain books specially asked for by units.
