HC Deb 04 April 1946 vol 421 c225W
Sir Harvie Watt

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General if he is aware that postal deliveries in Richmond do not commence until 7.30 a.m., whereas, in neighbouring districts, the deliveries commence much earlier; and if he will make a statement on the subject.

Mr. Burke:

I am aware that the time of the commencement of the morning deliveries in Richmond and Twickenham is half an hour later than in adjoining areas, but arrangements are in hand to introduce an earlier commencing time as soon as possible as part of the postwar services.
