HC Deb 04 April 1946 vol 421 c225W
44. Viscount Hinchingbrooke

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General whether he is now in a position to release from requisition the Pavilion Theatre and Palm Court, Weymouth.

Mr. Burke:

In the absence of any alternative premises in which to handle the heavy parcel mails now being received from overseas, I much regret that it is not yet practicable to release from requisition the premises to which the hon. Member refers. The question of providing alternative accommodation is being vigorously pursued, and when it has been obtained, the Weymouth premises will be released without delay.
