asked the Secretary of State for War if he will now arrange that all military exercises involving explosives and live ammunition in the vicinity or Groomsport, County Down, are stopped, and all unexploded mortar bombs on the foreshore removed.

Mr. Lawson:

As there is no suitable alternative site available I regret that I cannot agree to discontinue essential military training in the Groomsport area.
