§ Mr. Skinnardasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what plans have been made by the Government of the Bahamas for the economic development of the islands.
§ Mr. George HallI understand that the Out Island and Economic Investigation Committee has recently issued a report which includes a long term programme and a statement of policy for future development. I have not yet received a copy of this report and cannot therefore 577W state the nature of the plan. The Governor has informed the House of Assembly that he attaches great importance to the implementing of this programme, and no doubt they have it under consideration.
