asked the Minister of Agriculture the number of farmers who have been prosecuted for not growing during the 1943 season an additional acreage of sugar-beet in East Anglia.

Thirteen farmers in Norfolk, Suffolk, Ely, Essex, Cambs and Hunts, were prosecuted for failing to comply with directions to grow sugar beet in 1943.
