Mr. De la Bèreasked the Minister of Agriculture whether, arising out of the consultations that are taking place between his Department and the Ministry of Town and Country Planning in connection with the smallholders and their place in the land policy and security of tenure, he can now make a statement to show the method the Government proposes to adopt to achieve security of tenure for the present smallholders.

Friend the Member for Twickenham (Mr. Keeling) by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Town and Country Planning. I am not in a position to add to his statement at the present time.
