asked the Prime Minister whether there is any provision in the 99 years leases of naval and air bases by Great Britain to the U.S.A. for the temporary reoccupation of such bases by Great Britain in the event of Britain being at any time engaged in a war in which the U.S.A. are not belligerents.

No, Sir. The Bases Agreement of 1941 contains no such provision, nor is it appropriate to speak of reoccupying these bases, which did not exist until the United States Government constructed them in accordance with the Bases Agreement.
