§ Mr. BevinAt 19th July, 1943, the latest date for which statistics have been collected, there were 39,735 men aged 18 and over registered at Employment Exchanges in Great' Britain as wholly unemployed (exclusive of 19,349 men classified by interviewing panels as unsuitable for ordinary industrial employment), 726 registered as temporarily stopped and 971 registered as unemployed casual workers. Particulars are not available as to the numbers of these men who had been unemployed for over six months.
