§ Dr. Littleasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether, in arranging for the sale of main-crop potatoes in Northern Ireland, he will fix the same price for them as will be paid in Britain, otherwise the farmers will suffer serious loss and so be discouraged from growing the supply of potatoes so urgently required to-day?
§ Mr. MabaneDiscussions are now proceeding on the price to be fixed for main-crop potatoes grown in Northern Ireland, and careful consideration is being given to the representations of Northern Ireland growers. In regard to the relative price of Northern Ireland potatoes, I would refer my hon. Friend to the latter part of the reply I gave him on 30th June.
