HC Deb 04 August 1943 vol 391 cc2306-7W
Mr. Viant

asked the Secretary of State for Air whether he has received any report of the death of Dennis Henry Russell, 1, Athelstan Road, West Worthing, one of the finest members of the 45th Air Training Corps Squadron, who was inoculated after joining the Royal Air Force on 17th May, was admitted to hospital with complications resulting from the inoculation shortly afterwards and died on 12th July in the Seabrook Nursing Home; and whether he will discourage the practice of inoculating these lads in view of the risk to their health?

Sir A. Sinclair

I can assure the hon. Member that the medical history of this sad case provides no evidence to support the statement that death was due to complications resulting from inoculation or to suggest that the policy of inoculation should be reviewed.
