HC Deb 04 August 1943 vol 391 c2307W
Mr. Reakes

asked the Secretary of State for Air whether, having regard to their immunity from bombing for over three years of the shipyards of Denmark, of which the largest is that of Burmeister and Wain, in Copenhagen, and, in view of the available data as to their capacity for U-boat construction, he will consider immediately concentrating Bomber Command on the complete destruction of these and other centres for the construction of U-boats to be found in Danish waters?

Sir A. Sinclair

It would not be in the public interest to discuss the priority accorded to the targets of Bomber Command. The works of Burmeister and Wain were successfully bombed early this year.
