asked the Minister of Fuel and Power the number of men engaged in machine mining, coal cutting and conveyor work in the Durham coalfields; and the amount of coal produced by such methods in this county during the years 1930 to 1942?

No information is available as to the number of miners engaged in coal-cutting and conveying work. The quantities of coal cut by machinery and conveyed at coal mines in the county of Durham during the years 1930 to 1941 are as follow:—
