§ Colonel Carverasked the Minister of Agriculture whether he has any statistics which show by what percentage each county has increased its output of the main agricultural products during the past two years; and, if so, whether he will arrange for the publication of such statistics in order to encourage the competitive spirit?
Mr. HudsonI regret that it is not in the public interest to publish statistics of agricultural production. Moreover to publish the percentage increase in output for different counties would be misleading on account of the inherent differences in local circumstances.
