§ Sir J. Mellorasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of War Transport whether, in order to reduce delay at railway booking offices, he is now prepared 725W to authorise the issue by the Armed Forces of a form of warrant which shall be valid as a ticket?
§ Mr. Noel-BakerYes, Sir, with the cooperation of the Service Departments a combined leave pass and railway ticket will be introduced as soon as the Services have completed the necessary arrangements. This will make unnecessary the exchange of leave warrants for railway tickets, and will, I hope, result in economy of man-power, of paper, and of time for the travelling public, and will promote the comfort and convenience of the troops.
