§ Mr. Dribergasked the Secretary of State for Air whether he is aware that certain aspects of the anti-aircraft defence of two towns, the names of which have been communicated to him, are causing concern locally; and whether he will take steps to ensure that these towns, in which important war factories are situated, are protected as adequately, in relation to their size, as larger cities?
§ Captain BalfourThe defence of the towns in question has received careful consideration in relation not only to their size but also to the enemy's strategy and present tactics, and I can assure the hon. Member that in addition to the general protection of this country from hostile aircraft they will continue to receive the maximum scale of local protection which is feasible having regard to the air situation as a whole.
