HC Deb 04 October 1939 vol 351 c1988W
Mr. J. Morgan

asked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster whether cottagers, farmers and similar persons will be allowed to convert a home-reared pig to their own use as food, either in cured or fresh condition?

Mr. W. S. Morrison:

In general the answer is in the affirmative but some measures of control will be necessary to prevent abuses. These measures are under consideration.
