§ Mr. ElliotI understand that the Wembley Town Council has recently received representations regarding defects in two houses on the estate to which the hon. Member refers. These have been investigated by the local authority and steps are being taken with a view to their being remedied by the owners. The estate is privately owned, and the amount of the rents and the question of the action stated to have been taken by the tenants in regard to them are not matters within my jurisdiction.
