asked the Secretary of State for War whether he will inquire into the circumstances attending the fact that Henry J. North, 123, Romford Road, Stratford, E.15, ex-sergeant, Royal Army Medical Corps, who has been in receipt of a weekly pension of 10s. for the past 12 years, has had such pension reduced to 6s.?

Mr. H. J. North is in receipt of a special campaign pension. Such pensions are in the nature of compassionate grants to ex-soldiers of limited means, and the rate of pension depends on the other income of the recipient. Mr. North's pension was reduced as the result of an increase in his income from other sources.
