§ Mr. Malcolm MacMillanasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he will make a statement about the housing position in Stornoway?
§ Mr. ColvilleThe Town Council of Stornoway have built 214 houses since 1919 and 72 are at present under construction. It is estimated that about 120 additional houses will be required to end overcrowding and replace unfit houses. The town council have obtained an option on nine acres of land for further housing development.
